Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and to service guest rooms and common areas with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires a valid California driver's license, ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and the commitment to uphold the club's Signature Service standards. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Education and experience requirements include an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
Ability to read, interpret and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to present information in English to customers, managers, guests, and employees.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment.
Repair and service guest rooms and public areas, including lighting and fixtures.
Maintain and monitor Fire Alarm/Life Safety System; respond to emergencies.
Drive company vehicle and maintain tools/equipment; ensure proper storage and return of tools.
Assist Engineering Director and report emergencies or issues promptly.
