Job summary
La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems across our property portfolio on site in California. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, energy efficiency, and safe operation of equipment.
The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's degree or equivalent with 2–3 years of related experience, possess a valid California Driver's License and a CFC recovery certificate, and be able to read technical
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Two to three years related experience and/or training.
- Must have valid California Driver's License and CFC recovery certificate.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals; write routine reports; speak English to customers.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties and HVAC servicing.
- Inspect building electrical system; replace bulbs and fixtures.
- Read blueprints and schematics; operate power tools safely.
- Maintain tools and report to Engineering Director; ensure safety and energy conservation.
