Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Overnight) in Larkspur, CA seeks a compassionate, skilled technician to triage, treat, and monitor urgent cases. You’ll work with doctors to provide gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care, from IVs and anesthesia to critical care nursing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus and may affect compensation.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and EMR.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ready to lend a hand to support those around you.
• Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg, with assistance for heavier loads.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as-needed basis.
• Able to work in a noisy environment with strong odors.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter; keep people and pets together during tests and treatments.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge in critical moments.
• Handle meds, monitoring, and mastery from IVs to transfusions.
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape care plans to keep care flowing.
• Perform CPR and other advanced techniques as needed.
• Work with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
