Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Specialist to support a long-term tunneling project in Valhalla, NY. The role involves implementing EHS plans, reviewing submittals, and conducting EHS training for CM staff.

You will coordinate with the CM team and site personnel to ensure compliance and safety performance. This position requires a BA/BS in Safety or Engineering and OSHA 10-hour Construction Training, with a valid US driver's license.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety Course
• Valid US Driver License

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the EHS Management Plan and EHASP for the project.
• Support Job Hazard Analyses in accordance with client standards.
• Conduct EHS training for CM staff, including new employee and visitor orientations.
• Review Contractor submittals for EHASP, JHAs, waste plans and sampling programs.
• Facilitate weekly EHS meetings and coordinate with the Contractor's EHSR.
