Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Specialist to support a long-term tunneling project in Valhalla, NY. The role operates overnight, reporting to the EHS Manager and focusing on implementing EHS plans and monitoring contractor performance.

You will conduct JHA reviews, lead CM staff trainings, review submittals, and prepare monthly EHS reports while coordinating Emergency Action Plans with client staff.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety course.
• Valid US Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the EHS Management Plan and EHASP.
• Support Job Hazard Analyses per Client standards.
• Conduct training for CM staff including orientations and Emergency Action Plan.
• Review and oversee EHS submittals, incident reports, and corrective actions.
• Submit EHS monthly status reports and conduct trend analyses.
