Job summary

Ruan Transportation Management Systems is seeking a dispatch professional to coordinate timely pickup and delivery of customer orders while ensuring driver and equipment efficiency. You will direct and schedule drivers, notify them of assignments, and monitor activities to keep operations running smoothly.

You will identify and resolve daily service issues, monitor hours of service to ensure DOT compliance, and maintain open communication with customers to uphold service expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating drivers and schedules in a transportation operation.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to monitor driver hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of customer orders within assigned area.
• Direct and schedule drivers' work and notify them of assignments for on-time movement of goods.
• Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues; escalate when appropriate.
• Monitor drivers' hours of service to prevent DOT violations.
• Maintain timely communication with customers regarding service issues.
• Accurately prepare and process data and paperwork; update dispatch information in real time.
