McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to manage driver dispatch operations in the Transportation Department. The role supports overnight scheduling, route coordination, and documentation for Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

You will develop daily dispatch plans for drivers, ensure hours-of-service compliance, maintain maintenance records, and communicate variances to customers and managers. A strong team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience using PeopleSoft to manage driver records and scheduling.
• Ability to read maps and plan routes.
• Strong dispatch coordination and problem-solving.
• Clear communication with drivers, customers, and managers.
• Basic math for scheduling accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily records and driver inspections documentation.
• Update daily dispatch schedules for drivers and helpers.
• Ensure DOT hours of service compliance.
• Assign tractor/trailer and verify roadworthiness.
• Notify customers of delivery variances.
• Provide timely reports to supervisor.
