Job summary

Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) in Gaithersburg, MD seeks an Overnight Instructional Associate to support individuals with IDD in a residential setting. Responsibilities include overnight observation, safety checks, and assisting with morning routines.

The role requires a high school diploma and completion of MANDT, CPR and First Aid training with annual re-certification. A valid driver’s license is recommended; in-person work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Completion and demonstration of MANDT, CPR & First Aid training.
• Annual re-certification of MANDT is required.
• Valid driver’s license recommended; driving record should be clean for past two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight instructional support to individuals in residence.
• Observe health and safety concerns during overnight hours.
• Assist with morning preparation for daily activities.
• Communicate issues to the RIA and EIA during overnight hours.
• Review logs, ABCs/incident reports and medication logs for overnight shifts.
• Document sleep, issues, and morning routines in the program service log hourly.
• Inspect house safety (locks, alarms, thermostat setpoints) and ensure cleanliness.
• Assist with behavior support and wake-up routines as needed.
• Attend all staff and house meetings every two weeks.
• Complete incident reports for overnight events.
