Job summary

Nue Beginnings Residence Home, Inc. is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) for overnight shifts in Austell, GA. This full-time position runs 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and provides overnight support to adults with IDD in a residential setting.

The role requires 5+ years of DSP experience, ability to manage challenging behaviors, and a commitment to safety. BLS certification is preferred; strong documentation and calm crisis response are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Direct Support Professional experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
• Experience managing physical aggression and behavioral challenges.
• Experience providing total care including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, transfers, and mobility assistance.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Mindset Training Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and overnight supervision
• Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
• Complete safety checks and required documentation
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Respond appropriately to medical, behavioral, and emergency situations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
