Job summary

Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide overnight supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings in Gaithersburg, MD. This full-time overnight shift runs Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

You will stay awake, monitor safety, assist with personal care, and document shift reports. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, pass background checks, have reliable transportation,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Ability to pass criminal background checks and reference verification.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift, reposition, and assist clients as needed.
Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

Provide overnight supervision and support to individuals receiving services.
Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift.
Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals supported.
Assist with personal care and other support needs as outlined in individual service plans.
Monitor individuals and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in conditions.
Complete accurate overnight documentation and shift reports.
Follow medication-related procedures, individual care plans, and HHHS policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
Communicate important updates to incoming staff and supervisors.
