Job summary

New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is hiring Overnight Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with daily living activities in a residential setting. The role requires staying awake during shift.

Responsibilities include supervising daily living activities, administering medications, light housekeeping, transportation, and supporting residents with goals, data entry in Therap (EHR), and engaging in social/community activities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license in good standing & must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance.
• Strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise activities related to daily living skills.
• Administer or assist with prescribed medication.
• Light housekeeping.
• Assist with transportation.
• Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives.
• Data entry using Therap (EHR).
• Assist residents in pursuing recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans.
