Job summary

Bancroft, a leading provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, seeks Direct Support Professionals in New Jersey. You will support daily living, follow behavioral plans, and help residents achieve personal goals.

You will work night shifts Thursday through Saturday with pay between $19.04 and $19.44 per hour, depending on experience, and receive a full benefits package and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license in legal name with address; 1 year driving experience.
• Six months related work experience or Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in psychology, social work, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Follow behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meal prep, money management and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision; teach daily living and functional skills.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior situations with crisis techniques; document regularly.
• Maintain communication with residents, parents/guardians, and other family members.
