Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. This role provides exceptional care to residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges in an hourly, non-exempt capacity.

Shifts: Full Time 36 hours; Week 1 6pm-6:30am Sun/Tue; Week 2 6pm-6:30am Mon/Wed. 2 weeks paid training; 30+ hours; comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA, 403b, tuition reimbursement, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
