Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with identified needs in a residential setting. You will provide person-centered care, guidance, and companionship while helping with daily living activities and transportation.

This role emphasizes dignity, respect, and inclusion within a collaborative team. The position includes a starting wage of $16.00 per hour, with a potential raise to $16.50 per hour after six months of consistent

Qualifications

• No formal education required; training provided.
• Comfort with basic computer use to document care and stay connected with the team.
• Ability to read and write in English for clear communication.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record; able to pass Motor Vehicle Check.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships and provide guidance and support.
• Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meals, hygiene, transportation).
• Support community involvement and independent living skills.
• Advocate for the rights and preferences of people with identified needs.
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report changes as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
