Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Direct Support Professional in New York to assist residents with daily living tasks on weekend and weeknights. You will help with meal preparation, cleaning and laundry while maintaining a safe, caring home.

New hires receive paid training to build upon your existing skills and advance toward a career in direct support. The Advocacy and Resource Center notes the agency qualifies as a public service loan forgiveness employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old
• a clean, valid New York State driver's license
• Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Shift differentials offered for overnight and weekend shifts

Our Overnight staff ensure the safety of our residents while they sleep, while assisting them to maintain a clean home/safe home.

Job Duties include Meal Preparation, Cleaning, Laundry. This position has the highest earning potential among our Direct Support Staff.
