Job summary

Advocacy and Resource Center is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New York. Full-time and part-time positions offer competitive hourly pay from $18.00 to $25.12, with paid training and opportunities for advancement.

The DSP will support individuals with daily living needs, provide companionship, and help foster independence and community engagement. Training, team meetings, and a supportive environment help you grow your skills while making a meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living needs such as meals, hygiene, and medication.
• Provide companionship and encouragement during recreational and community activities.
• Help create opportunities for growth.
• Keep accurate records of progress and activities.
• Participate in training and team meetings to continue to grow your skills.
