Job summary

Sevita seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide care in residential programs. You will support 4–6 individuals on a daily basis, help with daily living activities, health maintenance, and community integration in a non-exempt, hourly role.

Responsibilities include documentation, asset management within budget, and upholding safety and rights. Requires a high school diploma, 18+ age, and a valid driver's license; prior human services experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of experience in human services is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to work as required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document care.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: assist with socialization and activities per plans.
• Records: document progress and maintain confidentiality.
• Management of Individuals’ Assets: make budget-conscious purchases per preferences.
• Relationships: maintain professional relations with individuals and families.
• Reporting: report incidents and follow Sevita policies.
• Rights: protect individuals' rights and safety.

Skills

Working knowledge of computers

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Six months of experience in human services preferred

Valid driver’s license in good standing

Car registration and vehicle insurance for transportation

All state-required training and certifications completed on time
