Job summary

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide direct care and support in residential settings. You will help with daily living activities, transportation, and community integration while maintaining records and safeguarding individuals’ rights.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and a willingness to obtain required trainings. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with potential part-time or full-time hours in a program setting.

Qualifications

• Direct support and assist with daily living activities in residential settings.
• Accurate documentation of progress and maintenance of records.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport individuals if required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: assist with socialization, personal care, housekeeping, transportation, and daily living activities.
• Records: document progress; review logs; maintain confidentiality.
• Management of Individuals’ Assets: make budget-conscious purchases.
• Relationships: maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, and guardians.
• Reporting: report abuse or neglect and medical/behavioral incidents per policy.
• Rights: protect confidentiality and rights of individuals.
