The Center for Developmental Disabilities is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in New York to support individuals with differing abilities. This part-time role offers a base rate of $20.00–$22.25 per hour with sign-on bonus and rate differentials depending on role and shift.

Schedule: Thursday to Saturday, 11pm–9pm. The organization emphasizes inclusion, teamwork, and advocacy, with tuition assistance and NADSP credentialing rewards as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.

Responsabilités

• It is the responsibility of the DSP to ensure that all individuals at their site receive support that is consistent.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to advocate for those they support.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to participate in trainings that will help them better understand and support those they work with.
• It is the responsibility of the DSP to work as part of a team at their site(s) to ensure the best support for individuals and to achieve mutual goals.
