Job summary

Birch Family Services is seeking a Full-Time position to counsel and assist individuals with developmental disabilities in New York. This role involves training in personal care, travel skills, and social skills to help maximize their community functioning.

Candidates should have at least a High School diploma and experience in a similar setting. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and medication administration is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience working with the developmentally disabled population, preferably in a residential setting.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required.
• Specialized training in direct care provision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, assist, and train individuals with developmental disabilities in personal care and life skills.
• Monitor individual’s personal health and assist in community engagement.
• Perform documentation related to individual services.
