Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Santa Clarita is hiring overnight caregivers to join a compassionate team providing non-medical in-home care for seniors. The role focuses on dementia and memory care, mobility assistance, and safe transfers with patient, respectful care.

The caregiver supports ADLs, meals, routines, safety supervision, and companionship while reporting changes and maintaining a clean home environment. Requires HCA registration, background check, TB test, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Home Care Aide Registration (or ability to obtain)
• LiveScan Fingerprint Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Current TB test (or ability to obtain)
• Clear background check (state and federal requirements)
• E-Verify eligibility
• Professional and personal references
• Physically able to perform caregiving duties, including transfers
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance (when applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide specialized dementia and memory care support, including redirection, routine reinforcement, and safety supervision
• Support clients with mobility challenges, including safe ambulation, positioning, and transfers (bed, chair, toilet, etc.)
• Assist with lifting and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration needs
• Provide medication reminders
• Support clients with light exercise or short walks as appropriate
• Observe and report any changes in client condition, behavior, or safety concerns
