Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support a delivery driver in a fast-paced environment. You’ll unload, sort, and store items, helping ensure accurate, on-time deliveries while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, readiness for overnight shifts four days a week, and the ability to read and understand English. Benefits start after 60 days and include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus additional programs.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Lift and move product and pallets up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job tasks and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.
• Place all delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Assist the Driver's efforts to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.
