Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a Lab Assistant (Core Lab) to support Reference Lab operations. The role involves receiving, accessioning, labeling, and preparing biological specimens for testing, with strict adherence to SOPs, quality, and safety standards.

You will log specimens in the LIS, prepare materials for technologists, and assist with non-waived testing as trained. The position requires strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in labeling and data entry.
• Experience with data entry and document control in a clinical or laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, label, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Log accessioning in LIS; verify identifiers and test orders.
• Perform waived/CLIA-waived tasks as authorized and documented.
• Maintain temperature logs and QC records.
• Clean and disinfect benches and equipment; report malfunctions.
• Stock and rotate supplies; support inventory and transport media.
