Job summary

Natera is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to support specimen handling and processing with attention to detail. You will assist licensed staff, manage sample flow, and ensure accurate data entry into LIMS, while maintaining inventory and lab cleanliness.

The role requires a High School Diploma and willingness to complete HIPAA/PHI training within 30 days. Prior experience is not required, making this a good entry point into laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma and preferably science-related degree.
• Less than 1 year of industry experience preferred.
• Must complete HIPAA/PHI training within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to learn and follow laboratory procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in preparing specimens for testing.
• Receive and deliver specimens to appropriate workflows/labs.
• Maintain organization of samples in physical and electronic storage.
• Enter patient data into Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS).
• Prepare samples for shipment and maintain inventory/stock levels.
• Assist in cleaning lab equipment and benches.
• Keep up-to-date with methods pertaining to the role.
