Medical Pathology Management, LLC is seeking an overnight Laboratory Assistant to support pre-analytical and post-analytical work, handling incoming specimens and assisting in diagnostic testing workflows. Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or higher in science/health field preferred.
• Two years in specimen handling or front medical office experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receive, accession and track incoming samples using the lab information system (LIS), Microsoft Office programs and other manual methods.
• Set up materials for techs to support material production including cassettes, slides, processing send-outs, returned send-outs, and other procedures as needed.
• Has a strong working knowledge of basic computing programs and LIS to manage workflow, document issues, look up cases and other routine inquiries.
• Maintain supplies for accession and lab areas.
• Support QA/QC, projects, and process evaluation.
• Maintain a clean, organized space using PPE standards for personnel and work areas.
• Manage issues as they arise. Communicate with other staff to assure patient care and the safety of patients and staff.
