Job summary

McWilliams Forge, part of Precision Castparts Corp., seeks a machinist familiar with turning machines. Sets up and operates CNC mills and lathes, reads blueprints, and works from drawings with little guidance.

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 10pm-6:15am. 3+ years manufacturing experience required; knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and tight tolerances. Earn $22–$33/hour plus a quarterly bonus and standard benefits. Strong teamwork with engineers and supervisors to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing experience
• Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
• Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes
