Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a skilled machinist for McWilliams Forge in New Jersey. You will set up and operate CNC mills/turning equipment, load programs, read blueprints, and inspect parts using calipers and micrometers. The role requires close tolerances and collaboration with engineers and supervisors.

Shift hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:15 AM. Join a team dedicated to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• CNC programming experience required.
• Experience reading blueprints and working to close tolerances.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines).
• Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes.

Job Description

We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines. Sets up and operates a variety of machines in machine shop, including but not limited to; milling, turning, drilling, grinding etc. Able to work to close tolerances working from drawings with little or no guidance.

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 10pm-6:15am
