Job summary

Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital is seeking an LA I to join a dynamic laboratory team. You will order and prepare patient samples, deliver specimens, and support nursing staff and physicians in a fast-paced environment.

This role provides clerical, administrative support, uses EMR/LIS, assists in training new associates, and helps maintain supplies while ensuring patient care and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare-related program in progress preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes EMR/LIS to place orders, receive and route specimens, track and label samples, and query results.
• Provides clerical, administrative, and customer service support; answers phones and assists nursing floor and physicians; dispatch couriers as needed.
• Communicates test results to nursing units/physician offices, electronically or on paper.
• Monitors and maintains supply inventory.
• Assists in training and orientation of new associates.
