Job summary

Intermountain Health Delta Community Hospital is seeking a Lab Caregiver to support specimen collection and processing in a dynamic hospital lab setting. You will work with doctors, nurses, and medical staff to organize tests, prepare samples, and communicate results to care teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory procedures while providing clerical and customer service support to the department and couriers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Community college program, nursing student, EMT student, or healthcare-related program in progress preferred.
• Previous healthcare and/or clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses EMR/LIS to place orders, receive and route specimens, track and store samples, and query results.
• Provides clerical, administrative, and customer service support to nursing units, physicians, and couriers.
• Answers phones and communicates test results to units and offices; supports specimen dispatch and inventory management.
