Job summary

Fair Oaks Estates is seeking a full-time overnight caregiver (NOC) in Carmichael, CA. You will be awake during the night, perform safety checks, assist with bathroom needs, respond to call lights, and support memory care residents with calm supervision.

Nights cross midnight; four nights on, two off, with scheduled rotations and overtime per CA law. Med Techs handle medications; caregivers focus on direct resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Fingerprint clearance required before first day.
• Health screening and TB test required prior to start.
• Valid First Aid card required; CPR may be required.

Responsibilities

• Take full handoff from the evening shift and note unsettled residents.
• Perform safety checks and overnight rounds.
• Turn and reposition residents to prevent pressure sores.
• Answer call lights and assist with overnight toileting and incontinence care.
• Change soiled linens and clothing discreetly, without causing embarrassment.
• Redirect and reassure memory care residents who wake disoriented or anxious.
• Monitor for falls, breathing changes, pain, and other changes; report promptly.
