Job summary

Fair Oaks Estates in Carmichael, CA is hiring a full-time morning Caregiver. You will be the first friendly face, assisting residents with personal care, meals, and mobility to start the day. The role emphasizes dignity, safety, and compassionate care in a busy morning shift.

Shift runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM on a four-on, two-off rotation, with some weekends and holidays included. Training is provided; electronic documentation is used to keep care coordinated and thorough.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Fingerprint clearance through Community Care Licensing
• Health screening and TB test prior to start
• Valid First Aid card (renewed every 2 years)
• Scrubs on the floor; closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes
• Able to assist transferring residents weighing 100–250 pounds daily
• Able to provide hands-on personal care (bathing & toileting)
• Reliable transportation to Carmichael for 6:00 AM start
• Available for a four-days-on, two-days-off morning rotation including some weekends/holidays
• Comfortable with electronic documentation (Eldermark) is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Wake and greet residents gently.
• Assist with morning personal care: showers, dressing, grooming, oral care, and incontinence care.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Provide safe transfers and walking support with gait belt and two-person assists.
• Serve breakfast trays and assist with meals.
• Support memory care residents with morning routines and redirection.
• Report changes in condition to Med Tech or Care Managers.
• Help residents get to appointments and activities.
• Assist activity director and lead morning activities.
• Change and launder bed linens; handle laundry and sanitation.
• Document in Eldermark before end of shift; hand off to afternoon shift.
