Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a part-time Care Giver/Medication Technician at Tampa Palms to enrich residents' lives with hands-on care, medication administration, and support in a home-like environment. You will work evenings, with every-other-weekend shifts, ensuring safety and dignity in daily activities.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, strong communication, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living.
• Administer and observe medications following Six Rights of Medication Pass, document and report concerns.
• Monitor resident conditions and changes in behavior, appetite, or participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident areas and medication spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems; communicate care needs clearly.
