Job summary

Gustavus Adolphus College seeks an Overnight Campus Safety/Security Officer to protect students, staff and visitors. You will respond to emergencies 24/7, patrol the campus, enforce policies, and document incidents. Hours are 9:00pm–7:00am with potential night differential pay.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Minnesota driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. Prior safety/security experience is preferred and first responder training is expected to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check including Minnesota Security Guard background check.
• Minnesota Driver's License required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must complete First Responder Certification and Field Officer Training.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property, respond to safety needs, and enforce college rules.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and safety calls promptly.
• Patrol campus facilities, document activity, and complete incident reports.
• Provide medical escorts and campus safety support as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and support off-campus authorities when required.
