Job summary

Center for Family Services is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician for the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center, a 24-hour psychiatric crisis unit for adults. The role is full-time with an overnight schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field.
• At least two years of experience working with individuals with a serious mental illness or with a substance use disorder.
• Current driver’s license with a good driving record of at least three years.
• Behavioral health technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission process for new consumer admissions.
• Record inventory log for consumer belongings and secure valuables.
• Work with licensed clinicians to facilitate care and disposition planning.
• Provide trauma-informed care and de-escalation as needed.
• Observe consumers and maintain safe, therapeutic milieu in CRSC.
• Coordinate transportation and complete paperwork accurately and timely.
