Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program in Orange, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech III to assist patients through admission to discharge. You will support treatment planning, lead psychoeducational groups, ensure safety, and assist nursing staff with daily tasks.

You will monitor patient wellbeing, document shift notes, and help with mealtime supervision and transportation as needed. The role requires CPR/First Aid, CPI, and a valid California driver’s license, with a part-time schedule on

Qualifications

• Two or more years experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid, along with Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire.
• Substance Use Division: Alcohol/substance recovery requirement may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient supervision, safety, and daily activities.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and contribute to treatment planning.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and document shift notes and group notes.
• Provide transportation as needed and support admission/discharge processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies; ensure safety and cleanliness.
