Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients throughout the treatment experience. You will assist with daily needs, participate in treatment planning, and help maintain a safe, organized environment on site in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities include supervising patients, supporting nursing staff, and delivering psychoeducational groups while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Substance Use Division: minimum 1 year sobriety in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: minimum 1 year recovery in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily needs and program activities.
• Provide patient safety interventions and document shift notes.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and support treatment planning.
• Support nurses and clinical staff as directed.
• Maintain confidential patient information and adhere to policies.
• Handle infection control and hand hygiene; participate in training.
