Capitol Plaza Hotel in Hampton, VA is seeking an overnight front desk associate to support overnight operations from 11 PM to 7 AM, deliver guest service, and maintain a calm lobby.

You will balance the books nightly, post revenues, reconcile ledgers, handle guest requests, and protect confidentiality. Basic accounting, front desk experience, and proficiency with Excel and property systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Front desk experience of 6+ months and ability to work solo at night.
• Basic accounting knowledge including posting revenues and balancing reports.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Excel and property systems for daily tasks.
• Ability to reliably work overnight shifts and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Work the overnight shift (11 PM – 7 AM) as the go-to team member for guest needs.
• Balance the books nightly—post revenues, reconcile ledgers, and ensure accuracy.
• Handle guest requests and complaints calmly and professionally.
• Manage reports, paperwork, and financial summaries.
• Keep files secure and confidential at all times.
