Job summary

Community Care Alliance seeks an Overnight Call Center Counselor to support the 988 Crisis Call Center in East Providence, RI. This on-site, full-time role focuses on empathetic engagement with callers across calls, chats, and texts, guiding individuals to appropriate resources and clinical care.

The counselor will assess risk, coordinate with mobile crisis teams, and document cases while collaborating with BH Link staff.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in human services preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on site at the 988 Call Center in East Providence.
• Answer calls, chats, and texts for the 988 Lifeline and 414-LINK line.
• Engage callers with empathy and professionalism to establish rapport quickly.
• Routinely assess suicide risk and other safety concerns.
• Coordinate wellness checks and dispatch mobile crisis teams when needed.
• Provide resource and referral options and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with BH Link clinical team and local responders as appropriate.
