Job summary

Parametric, part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, seeks an Investment Engineer to enhance data quality, analyses, and client content. You will support portfolio managers, develop new analytical content, and automate processes to scale client analyses.

The role focuses on internal support within an institutional client base, with opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives and improve investment workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of the investment industry and quantitative methods.
• Proficiency in Python/SQL or related languages is preferred.
• Graduate degree and/or CFA is preferred.
• Understanding of Overlay Solutions and related investment instruments.
• Direct experience with derivatives (swaps, options, futures) is required.
• Experience with quantitative investment strategies offered by investment banks preferred.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Must take initiative and work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to learn and use new technology and coding languages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance investment analysis processes and develop new quantitative content.
• Serve as liaison between Portfolio Management and Research for quantitative content.
• Develop familiarity with clients, investments, and market positioning.
• Implement automation to improve team efficiency and scalability of analyses.
• Ensure data integrity and standardized processes to support client accounts.
• Produce client deliverables and act as a key contact for reporting.
• Coordinate training for investment professionals on analyses and content.
• Provide technical support to the Portfolio Management team for requests.
