Job summary

Micron is seeking a Metrology Overlay Process Development Engineer to start up, develop, and optimize overlay metrology in DRAM lithography. You will collaborate with vendors, calibrate metrology systems, and drive process characterization across multiple device flows.

The role requires a PhD or MS in engineering-related fields and 3+ years in semiconductor overlay. Strong data analysis, Python proficiency, and AI tooling experience are valued.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related field.
• 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with overlay experience.
• Strong understanding of overlay lithography process metrics for characterization and control.
• Experience with image and diffraction-based overlay/registration post lithography, SEM and scatterometry/OCD.
• Strong data analysis skills and high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, JMP, and Python.
• Experience using AI tools to enable fast solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive understanding of new metrology technology and measurement techniques to meet overlay roadmaps.
• Partner with metrology vendors on software/hardware improvements and technique development.
• Optimize and maintain calibration of metrology systems in R&D and manufacturing.
• Work with process development/integration engineers to optimize measurements for device flows.
• Develop applications on next-generation processes and tech transfers to production fabs.
• Evaluate new metrology tools for cost efficiency and accuracy.
