Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions, headquartered in Austin, TX, seeks a Technical Manager to oversee the build, commissioning and startup of an overland conveyor project in West Texas. You will drive design reviews, organize maintenance and operations teams, and ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and MSHA throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and leadership experience.
• Ability to read, understand and redline drawings and schematics.
• Procurement and warehouse experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Extensive experience operating and maintaining conveyor systems, minimum of 7 years.
• Solid experience managing fixed and mobile equipment maintenance crews.
• Experience with operating and maintaining long overland conveyors.
• Experience overseeing engineering designs and managing 3rd party engineering firms.
• Experience developing and tracking budgets.
• Experience in equipment reliability and condition monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction, commissioning, and startup of overland conveyors.
• Review the designs for new conveyor construction to make sure it is built in a maintainable fashion.
• Build the Maintenance, Operations and support departments.
• Manage project progress reports, schedules, risks, costs, logistics, resources and technical objectives required to meet stakeholder’s expectations and corporate financial goals.
• Participate in scheduled updates with Executive Team and stakeholders.
• Organize and conduct maintainability and constructability reviews with all major stakeholders prior to project execution.
• Project management ensuring projects are executed in full compliance with all regulatory requirements of OSHA and MSHA.
• Coordinate multiple engineering design/supply organizations.
• Ensure construction permits are in place in compliance with local regulations.
• Lead the development and implementation of short, mid, and long-term engineering planning and structures in support of project development and construction activities.
• Participate in negotiations with vendors and contractors for purchases of equipment, material and supplies, services and rental of equipment, and resolve budget, schedule and quality issues.
• Manage all efforts related but not limited to earthworks, concrete and structural works, steel erection, piping, electrical distribution, instrumentation and DCS, equipment installation, commissioning and startup.
• Track plant reliability and carry out improvements to optimize equipment availability.
• Execution and monitoring of the project to performance objectives.
