Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Structural Associate Engineering Technician to support overhead transmission projects. The role involves creating and modifying structural models, drawings, and details using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and PLS-CADD, under general supervision.

The position emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, adherence to BV quality programs, and opportunities for mentorship of junior technicians within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering teams under general supervision.
• Creates, updates, and maintains technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
• Performs basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences.
• Proactively seek out, share, and apply knowledge of new technologies and evolving processes.
