Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in South Carolina is seeking a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electric distribution systems. You will work with a Foreman to build, repair, and maintain lines, poles and related hardware on outdoor job sites.

This role requires physical labor, safety-first mindset, willingness to travel, and flexibility to work overtime and outages. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL quickly.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and overtime.
• Work extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including outages and emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage; inspect PPE as required.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
