Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair electrical overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to multiple job sites, and report to the Foreman.

The role requires climbing structures, working outdoors in all weather, and participating in outage or emergency responses, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper PPE.

Qualifications

• Three years of overhead line experience is required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Extended hours including weekends and holidays may be required.
• Out-of-state assignments may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety as a priority.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage practices on energized/de-energized lines with proper tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and weather events.
• Participate in outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Perform live de-line work using insulated gloves and hot-stick techniques; troubleshoot faults.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
