Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman in Fort Mill, SC to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to out-of-state sites as needed. Reports to the Foreman and operates from the field on a safety-first basis.

Requirements include three years of overhead line experience and a valid CDL. Expect outdoor work in varied weather, possible long hours, and on-call outages as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures, grounding and voltage tests on energized/de-energized lines with proper tools.
• Climb structures (wood, steel, concrete) using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather and be available for outages and on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using gloves and hot-sticks; troubleshoot and locate faults.
• Adhere to PPE protocols and insulation safety requirements.
