Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is hiring a Class A Lineman to construct and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems. You may travel to different job sites, including out‑of‑state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

Requirements include five years of overhead line experience and a valid CDL, with willingness to work outside normal hours and on-call outages. Protective gear and safety protocols are mandatory on all assignments.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Comfort with live-line work and use of PPE.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding procedures and use test equipment.
• Climb structures and work at heights, in varying weather conditions.
