Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Summit, MS seeks a Class A Lineman to safely build and repair overhead distribution lines. The role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites, and reporting to the Foreman.

You'll lead crew when needed, mentor apprentices, perform live-line work with proper PPE, and commit to safety, weather resilience, and after-hours/on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of Employee in Charge; conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding procedures; work with proper tools and tests.
• Climb structures and work at heights; operate bucket trucks and related equipment.
