Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct, repair, and maintain overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to multiple job sites as needed, and report to the Foreman.

A safety-first mindset is essential in this role. You will lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge, train apprentices, and operate bucket trucks and other line equipment.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience required.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift and handle up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional out-of-state assignments and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging and de-energization procedures with proper PPE.
