Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman to perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems at various locations, with potential travel to other states depending on demand.

You will be responsible for wiring, pole setting, equipment installation, and fault troubleshooting. The role requires physical endurance, safety focus, and ability to read blueprints and work with high voltage systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of field experience in electrical distribution.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• CDL preferred.
• Willing to work outside normal schedule including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew in the Foreman’s absence.
• Strings overhead wire and sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, arresters, cutouts, crossarms and insulators.
• Troubleshoots primary and secondary systems and clears faults.
• Works safely with energized high voltage equipment and PPE.
