Job summary

MasTec Utility Services, a MasTec subsidiary, is seeking an OHE Foreman to lead crews in placing overhead electrical cables and ensuring project safety and timeliness. The role oversees the Line team and collaborates with multiple departments to meet customer needs.

Applicants should have a High school diploma, 6 years of field experience, 2 years of supervisory experience, and a valid Class A CDL. OSHA 20 certification preferred. The work is field-based with variable conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of experience in the field.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Class A CDL is required.
• Preferred: 8+ years including supervision and OSHA 20 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain all necessary materials for the job and ensure permits and licenses are in place.
• Oversee work for each project and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Comply with safety standards as per MasTec or customer requirements.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections.
• Disseminate information and ensure understanding of safety briefings.
• Perform aerial tasks such as new cable installs and pole transfers with qualified observer oversight.
• Place overhead electrical cables and connect wires to terminals.
• Coordinate and supervise daily tasks for crew members.
• Perform construction work including digging and placing cable in conduits.
• Climb utility poles or use aerial lift to place cables.
• Operate equipment to assist crews and transport materials to sites.
• Train new hires and trainees.
